Welcome to New River Publications, LLC.

    So, why are you here?  Presumably, you have an idea for a book, a partially completed manuscript for a book or a completed manuscript for a book and you are now searching for a publisher, and perhaps a publisher that knows something about marketing a published book.

    So, what do you know about marketing a published book?  Presumably, you know by this point that publishing your book (or at least getting your book into print), is no great challenge.

    So, how many copies of your published book can you sell?  Well, much of that depends upon you and the expertise and skills you bring to the table,.  New River Publications, LLC certainly knows how to publish your book, and we have a pretty good understanding of what counts when marketing a published book.  Our first published book, Searching for the Open Door:  A Woman's Struggle for Survival after a Traumatic Brain Injury, sold 2250 copies in  less than four months of its official release date.  Clearly, New River Publications, LLC knows something about marketing a published book and is a publisher that can and will help you beyond the publishing process.

    Statistically, the results of marketing a published book are grim.  Out of any group of 250,000 published book titles, 80% will sell no more than 99 copies, when not marketing a published book properly.  In other words, once an author's family and friends buy their copies, the book's life is over, unless marketing a published book title becomes a priority.

    Unless you are a well-known public figure, like Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, Alan Greenspan, Dan Brown or James Michener, marketing a published book for you is not going to land your book in the front display rack at your local book store.  In fact, unless you are marketing a published book to book stores at a full 55% discount, and agree to repurchase unsold copies, your published book will not be seen in any book store for that matter.  Since 36% of all books sold to book stores remain unsold and are returned to the publisher and author, marketing a published book through bookstores should not be the focus of your efforts in martketing a published book.  Even the biggest publishing houses put the economic burden of returned book inventory directly on the author.  Unfortunately, that is all part of marketing a published book.

    So, you now must be asking why even bother publishing or marketing a published book?  Well, there are a number of sound reasons.

1. When marketing a published book, only 24% of published books are sold through book stores;
2. When marketing a published book ,the majority of published books are sold over the Internet, through Amazon.com, BarnesandNoble.com and through publisher and author websites;
3. Marketing a published book often produces comfortable incomes from book sales and public speaking engagements for authors; and,
4. You expended a great deal of time writing your book.  Why not publish and begin marketing a published book with our help so others can learn about what you have to say and keep more of the profit, using our services.
