What should I be doing during the publishing process?
Now that your manuscript has been written and submitted for editing and publication, it is time for you to get to work promoting and marketing your soon to be released published book, and for all of us to begin our relationship building efforts. Unfortunately, this is the point at which most publishing companies, today, stop providing services to their authors.
Well, as you may recall from previous pages, New river Publications, LLC is very concerned about relationship building with its clients. To this end, and in furtherance of your success as an author, our interest is in publishing and marketing a published book, your book.
When you sign up for our Publishing and Marketing a Published Book package, you will get far more than a professional looking final product ready for sale through traditional and online bookstores. New River Publications, LLC's Publishing and Marketing a Published Book package is designed to take authors far beyond publishing because we believe that is how relationship building and your book will succeed.
New River Publications, LLC will work with its authors for at least one year to help create an online presents through development of optimized author websites, press releases, article development, article publishing, and providing current advice for online marketing strategies - taking advantage of the Google, Yahoo, Amazon and Barnes & Noble branding whenever and however possible.
Recognizing that 76% of book sales are made online, it is incumbent upon us to work together to develop an online presents for all parties. Having just author websites does not cut it because the information highway is now dominated by pay per click (PPC), traffic, and getting free traffic to author websites is very difficult without optimizing for organic (or free), traffic. You cannot and should not pay for online lead generation because if you assume that five percent of those who click through to author websites at an average $1.00 per click rate, you will loose money very quickly unless, of course, your book sells for big bucks.
