FOUNDING PRINCIPLES
New River Publications, LLC got its start from an idea developed by its founders, Cynthia Paddock Doroghazi and Stephen Doroghazi. Taking inspiration from the Robert Frost poem about two paths diverging in the woods and selecting "the road less traveled," Steve decided to publish Cynthia's first book, Searching for the Open Door: A Woman's Struggle for Survival After a Traumatic Brain Injury, without using a traditional publisher thereby giving her control over content and time frames.
More importantly, by not using a traditional publisher, Steve and Cynthia are able to donate a considerable portion of the proceeds of the sale of their books to different charities. Basically, they take a large percentage of what would ordinarily be given to a publisher or a bookseller and donate it to a charity instead. What a novel idea! (Excuse the pun!) Talk about forging a new path, finding a new fork in the river.
This idea of donating or giving back extends into bulk purchases as well. Searching for the Open Door: A Woman's Struggle for Survival After a Traumatic Brain Injury makes an ideal promotional gift for banks, realtors, or any business trying to gain new clients, as a fund raising tool for fund raisers involved with charities, or as a charitable donation in lieu of or in addition to cash donations. For more information on bulk purchasing, please contact Steve at support@newriverpublications.com.
Finally, inspired by the extraordinary success of Cynthia's book, which has sold over 2250 copies in less than four months of its official release date, Steve Doroghazi is currently completing his first "how to" book, How to Renovate for Profit, a sample chapter of which is available for review and comment.
We encourage you to browse this website and find tips on how to discover your own path to success. Our books, e-books and coaching services will provide you with a new river to forge, a new way to look at life, and new ideas to consider. Whether it is a business how-to or a spiritual how-to, we will help you see things differently.
In founding New River Publications, LLC, we fulfilled a desire to "give back", donating to the causes that have made us who we are today. And we will gladly assist in publishing the work of any author who likewise has a sense of charity (giving back) and become part of our mission.
We also offer a variety of opportunities to meet with us in person through our seminars and public speaking engagements. Our seminars cover topics ranging from how to survive TBI (practical advice on traumatic brain injury recovery expectations and rehabilitation needs) to how to capitalize on current real estate trends, including simple remodeling and complete renovation. Steve is currently developing a presentation on renegotiating debt (mortgages and credit card alike).
