I want to write a book and get it published

How many times have you either said or thought "I want to write a book and get it published?"  If you you have something to say, then stop saying "I want to write a book and get it published."  Cynthia Paddock Doroghazi actually said "I want to write a book and get it published" on WUDC TV in Washington, DC.  Four years later, Cynthia told her husband Steve, I want to write a book and get it published.  Thirteen months later, Cynthia's dream was recognized with publication of Searching for the Open Door: A Woman's Struggle for Survival After a Traumatic Brain Injury.

So, if you have an idea for a book, possess a unique skill or credential, are an expert in anything, even a hobby, then you should stop saying I want to write a book and get it published.  Writing a book, particularly where you know and/or love the subject area is very easy.  With the advent of the Internet, gone are the days of spending weeks in dusty library stacks.

When Cynthia Paddock Doroghazi told people "I want to write a book and get it published", she knew she would write and publish a book based on her traumatic brain injury, and her journey to recovery.  Though it took time to recreate her malpractice trial, working about three hours per day, Cynthia's manuscript was submitted for editing in five short months.  Her book was published and available for sale through Amazon.com and BarnesandNoble.com only four months after editing was complete.  So, when Cynthia now tells people "I want to write a book and get it published", she is referring to her second book, and people believe her and want to buy that second book.

So, as you can see, once you nail down your subject matter, writing and publishing a book can be accomplished quickly.  So, stop saying "I want to write a book and get it published," because all you really need to do is to take those first steps in writing a book.
